Exchange Knowledge

There are many Burmese organizations at the Thai-Burma Border for millions of Burmese Migrant workers and Burmese refugee people.  They have many methods and perform in different ways but share the same aim which is to protect the human rights of the people especially Burmese people.
Most of the people who live in factories or farms don’t get much knowledge so some organizations go and meet them to educate them. Most of the topics that they discuss are Human rights, Labor rights, health care and gender perspective.
The picture above illustrates the conversation between factories workers, Burma Women Union staff members and discussion topic leader, Daw Aye Aye Myint . She explained to the people about the equality of men and women. A lot of Burmese people don’t have the chance to learn about equality between humans, which is a part from human rights because of the Burmese Government.
In the conversation, some women blame the security in Thailand for Burmese migrant people. Many Burmese people don’t dare to go out at night time because they may meet with Thai teenagers’ gangsters. Sometimes, they hit the people and grab the money even they kill the people.
Under the topic, each family presents their life’s experiences. In the end, they gain more understanding and the importance of respecting each other.
