People's life stories

Burmese People's  Life in Thailand

There are many Burmese Migrant People in Thailand. Burmese Migrant people lose their homeland for many reasons and they can't live on their own land. Therefore they resettle in Thailand. Even though they have many types of problem in Thailand, they don't want to return to their homeland.
In Thailand, people face security problems. Most people work in Thailand illegally because some employers don't want to support their employee's security. Illegal workers don't get health care and protection of the law so they also can't get labour rights.
The man in the photograph is a Burmese Migrant Worker in Thailand. His family is dependent on his employer. He is working in the farm with his family. He came to Thailand because he has financial problems in Burma. He met with many employers, some of them are good and some are bad. Some employers don't pay him a salary, and he needs to work hard. The current landlord gives shelter to him so his family and him don't need to worry for accommodation. His boss pays him daily, but if there is no work, he gets nothing.
